We were very lucky to receive a hand-me-down play table with chairs from a family at my school. Charlotte loves it & thinks she is hot stuff playing at the table. We have been playing puzzles and reading books at the table, but mostly Charlotte likes to climb in the chair, sit, climb down, and push her chair back up to the table. Over, and over, and over again....... simple pleasures!

Growing Up So Fast....

Halloween, Part 2
Today Charlotte & I went to our neighborhood Halloween party. Momma Donna joined us as well as my friend Leigh & her son (and Charlotte's friend) Runyan. It was a beautiful day for a party, and fun was had by all. Charlotte the Bumblebee & Runyan the bat got to decorate cookies, make goodie bags & go trunk or treating, play in the tunnels, and they even braved the "haunted house"! We really do have a great neighborhood, and I meet a new neighbor or two at every event. I am thankful that Charlotte will grow up in a neighborhood where she will have many friends and neighbors who know her and look out for her. Leigh and Runyan stayed for dinner later that night (well ok, snacks & wine) & as fun as the party was, I would have to say that the highlight of my day was watching Charlotte & Runyan play "chase" around the kitchen. I see a great friendship in their future :)

Family Fun
Last Saturday we headed to Nashville for Matt's cousin Jennifer's wedding. We went with Matt & Donna, and Amanda even flew in for the big day. We got to see Hokie & Faye Faye, Momo, Uncle Tom & his fiance Sharon, and almost all of Matt's brothers and sisters and cousins. It was a beautiful wedding and a great party. Charlotte got lots of snuggle time with Uncle Tom while mom and dad got to sit back and have a few cocktails! I think all parties were content! Congratulations Jennifer and Nick!!!
Boo at the Zoo
I love the Memphis Zoo! Last Friday we took Charlotte there for the annual Zoo Boo. We dressed her up in her bumblebee costume and trick or treated our way through the zoo. It was a lot of fun (probably more for Matt and I) and the Zoo really goes all out for the occasion. The decorations were awesome. Charlotte was in awe, her mouth hung open for the 1st hour as she took it all in! She got her fortune told, danced in Dracula's disco, and even met a few bumblebee friends. My favorite was the animal statues out front who were dressed up, especially the Hip-Hop-potomus. He was complete with bling and grill, yo...
Fall Break
We all went to visit my sister Katie and her family in Atlanta over Fall Break. They have a beautiful new home and we had a great time. Mom & Dad & Ben came up as well. We had a delicious dinner with the Family and the Engwalls Saturday night, brunch Sunday, and went to the Aquarium on Monday. Charlotte loved playing in Sam's playroom and she snuggled with Lily all weekend. The only downer was the stomach bug that Charlotte brought to their otherwise healthy home (sorry KT!).
Tag!
I have been "tagged" by my sister Katie. I am supposed to share 7 little known things about myself & then tag 7 more people with blogs to pass on the fun. So consider yourself tagged - Leigh, Brooke, Tanya, Bonnie, Chris (I know that's cheating but I only know so many people with blogs). 5...7... ??? Good enough!
1. I am afraid of the dark. I hate to be alone at night & usually lay awake at night thinking that every sound I hear is someone coming to get me. I don't think I am ever going to grow out of it after 3o years of being a chicken.
2. In the spirit of Halloween... I hate anything that involves wearing a costume. It is just a lot of extra work & money that stresses me out. So, yes, I am my father's child.
3. I judge people based on their bumper stickers. "Oooohh I bet she would be annoying." or "I would be friends with her."
4. I always feel guilty for not keeping in touch with my friends but I never do anything about it. I don't like to talk on the phone and I really just like to read about people on facebook, but I rarely write them. Pitiful I know.
5. Thursday is my favorite day of the week. I know that Fridays are more relaxed & the weekend is around the corner.
6. I love the grocery store - I could wander for hours by myself.
7. I have horrible computer skills. When people start talking "technical stuff" & try to give me advice I either tune them out or just say ok and do nothing.

Admitting you have a problem is the 1st step...
After months of bragging that "My child isn't really a pacifier kid", Charlotte has sought to prove me wrong. She has become an expert binkie scavenger, using her radar to find lost binkies in the darkest and dirtiest of corners. When she finds one, she always lets out a little squeal of happiness. I found her the other day with one in each hand & one in mouth trying to drink from her sippy cup. I gotta give it to her -the Little Miss has got some problem solving skills.

Good Ole' Rocky Top????
Charlotte got to go to her 1st ever Tennessee football game this Fall - UT vs. Florida. A biggie. Unfortunately Tennessee lost big as well. But the upside was that we got to sit in the club seats (thanks Big Daddy!) & eat lots of food to ease the pain. Here are some pics of the day.
Great view!!
Charlotte spotted Smokey "dog-dog" right away & had a full blown conversation with him!

Debuting Charlotte's Web!
We are all growing up around the Freeman house! We have decided to make the leap from Charlotte's website and try out a new blog. Now we can update you more often since Charlotte is growing and learning so quickly. We hope you enjoy. Here are some pictures of what Little Miss has been up to lately.

Playing on the dog bed, much to my parents dismay.
Starting off the football addiction early!!
Chasing bubbles in the backyard.
